Indian Ocean

Durban

We are having a rest day at this incredible hotel called The Oyster Box. Old English Colonial style where staff where hats and uniforms. The view of the Indian ocean from our balcony is outstanding.  A beach walk ,the water is so warm that Kevin went in. Ours is one of the balconies you see behind me. Great infinity pool time also.

Monkeys and birds

Today we visited a monkey land. These are rescued monkeys and they are not caged but free to move around the small forest. It was great to be able to walk amongst them.
Next a visit to a bird aviary where we saw brilliant coloured birds.

Ostriches

Visited an ostrich farm and learned many things about them. Had ostrich for lunch and it is very tender and tasty.
This mama was pushing her eggs together to be able to sit on them all.

Wine time

Spent the day traveling through the South Africa wine area. Stopped for two different tastings and spent the night on a wine estate.

Day 2

Table mountain one of the wonders of the world from bottom and then top. Took a large gondola to the top. Followed by a city tour of Cape Town, a rest by the pool and Dinner out where we tried some beer made by monks. Temp 25C

Time to relax and recover from flight. For my quilting friends this quilt  like painted rhino. 

African Adventure

Ready for our adventures. 30 hours of travel to reach our hotel in Cape Town.
